ジャンゴ・ラインハルト直系のジプシー・サウンドはマヌーシュ・スウィングと呼ばれますが、パリのどこで遭遇できるかと夜の街を徘徊していたら忽然と姿を現したのがこの「LE PIANO VACHE」でした。一見ただのバー。ライブは終わったかと尋ねると、扉の先で開かれていたマヌーシュの夜会。驚きました。戦前の時代にタイムマシーンで迷い込んだような感覚。それは身をもって経験できたミッドナイト・イン・パリなのでした。
